Dr. Feight is an Associate Professor of History and the Coordinator of the History Major in the Department of Social Sciences at Shawnee State University. He graduated from Furman University in South Carolina before earning a Masters and Ph.D. in American History from the University of Kentucky in 2001. He is a former associate editor of the Portsmouth Free Press and winner of the Kentucky Historical Society’s Richard H. Collins Award for his writing on the history of the antislavery movement in the Ohio Valley. He lives with his son at the headwaters of Turkey Creek in Ohio’s Shawnee State Forest.
